Environmental Policy

Stevenson Bros is committed to operating in a responsible and environmentally conscious manner. We recognise that our activities have the potential to impact the environment and we are committed to minimising that impact wherever reasonably practicable. 

Management and supervisors are responsible for implementing this Environmental Policy and ensuring environmental considerations form part of day-to-day operations across the business. 

Our objectives are to: 

• Prevent pollution, reduce waste and promote responsible environmental practices across all areas of the business.  
• Protect and preserve the natural environment, including local habitats, flora and fauna wherever practicable.  
• Consider the impact our operations may have on local communities and work in a considerate and socially responsible manner.  
• Identify and reduce potential environmental risks associated with our vehicles, equipment, sites and operational activities.  
• Assess new plant, vehicles and operational processes against recognised environmental best practice standards.  
• Promote environmental awareness amongst employees, suppliers, contractors and partners through effective communication and operational procedures.  
• Ensure environmental incidents are reported, investigated and managed efficiently and effectively.  
• Encourage all employees and subcontractors to support the implementation of this policy and carry out their work responsibly and with due regard for the environment.  

Stevenson Bros complies with all relevant environmental legislation and aims to follow recognised industry best practice, including guidance issued by the UK Environment Agencies, the Health and Safety Executive and other relevant organisations. 

We are committed to continually improving our environmental performance and maintaining high standards of environmental management throughout our operations. 

Stevenson Bros takes practical steps to identify potential environmental risks and ensure appropriate control measures are in place. Employees are provided with the information, instruction, training and resources necessary to support the effective implementation of this policy. 

This policy is regularly reviewed to ensure it remains relevant, effective and appropriate to the nature and scale of our operations.
