From its headquarters in Avonbridge, Stevenson Bros operates a modern fleet built to meet the demands of transport operations across Scotland and the wider UK. As the business has grown over the last 50 years, continued investment in vehicles, technology and workshop facilities has remained a key part of the company’s approach.
Vehicle Preparation & Maintenance
The fleet now consists of modern Scania vehicles which join the Stevenson Bros operation through the close working relationship with A.W. Jenkinson Transport. Every vehicle goes through a thorough preparation process before entering service, with safety and reliability at the heart of the operation.
Vehicles are fitted with modern safety and operational equipment including camera systems, tracking and telematics technology, and essential health and safety equipment. Each truck is fully inspected and tested to ensure it meets the standards expected throughout the business before taking to the road.
Finished in the familiar Stevenson Bros livery, the fleet has become a well-known sight across Scotland and beyond.
Looking After the Fleet
The company’s main workshop and maintenance operation is based at Avonbridge, where experienced fitters and mechanics carry out servicing, inspections, repairs and refurbishment work to keep the fleet operating safely and efficiently.
Alongside routine maintenance, the workshop also undertakes specialist repair work on trailers and transport equipment used throughout the business. This practical, hands-on approach reflects the values the company was built on when the Stevenson Brothers first established the business in 1976 with a single vehicle and a strong reputation for hard work and reliability.

Behind the scenes is a skilled team of fitters, mechanics and fabricators whose knowledge and experience help keep the operation running smoothly day in, day out. Their work supports every stage of the vehicle lifecycle, from preparing trucks for the road through to maintaining and refurbishing existing fleet equipment.
